Which rules apply in Wales?
PAS 2035:2023 sets the whole-house retrofit process (assessment, coordination, design, installation and evaluation), and PAS 2030:2023 covers installation. Most government-backed retrofit schemes require both, with TrustMark lodgement. We confirm in writing, before appointment, how each measure in your scope will meet those requirements.
What does it cost in Wales?
Our guide range for cavity wall insulation in Wales is £900–£2,500 per home. That is the UK range of £950–£2,700 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.93 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 0.88–0.98); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Where we extract failed fill, we inspect the wall ties and the cavity while it is open and report what we find.
Common questions
Which council areas in Wales do you cover for loft and cavity wall insulation?
All 22: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, Wrexham.
How deep should loft insulation be?
Current guidance for most lofts is around 270mm of mineral wool, or equivalent, but your specification and funding scheme set the target.
Is every cavity wall suitable for fill?
No. Exposure to driving rain, narrow or obstructed cavities and poor wall condition can make fill unsuitable. That is why we survey first.
