Who we are

This website is operated for Social Housing Contractors, a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889), registered office 65 Hembs Crescent, Birmingham B43 5DG. For personal data collected through this website (enquiry forms, live chat and analytics), the data controller is S&K Group Holdings Ltd (company number 16703925), 65 Hembs Crescent, Birmingham B43 5DG, the parent company of the S&K Group. S&K Group Holdings Ltd passes your enquiry to S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd so it can reply. Where your enquiry leads to a quotation, contract or works, S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd is the controller for the quotation, contract and customer records. You can contact either company about your data at info@socialhousingcontractors.co.uk or by post to the address above.

What we collect

• Details you give us in forms, chat or by email: name, organisation, role, email, phone, site postcode and your message
• Details of the work, homes and residents that you share with us so we can quote and deliver works
• With your consent, analytics data about how the site is used, and live chat data handled by our chat provider

How we use it, and on what basis

We use enquiry details to reply to you and prepare quotations, on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. The tick box on our forms confirms you have seen this notice; it is not a request for consent. We use contract and works records to deliver and evidence works (contract and legal obligation). Analytics and live chat cookies are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Residents' data, including health information

When we carry out works in occupied homes, we process residents' names, addresses and contact details on behalf of, or jointly with, the landlord, under the landlord's instructions and our contract with them. Adaptation works can involve information about a resident's health or disability, for example from an occupational therapist's recommendation. We use such information only as far as needed to deliver the works, under the landlord's instructions, and keep it secure and confidential.

Who we share it with

Between the two S&K Group companies named above; our form provider (Web3Forms); live chat provider (tawk.to); analytics provider (Google, only with consent); email and IT providers; and subcontractors who need details to carry out works. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses, as offered by the provider.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years. Contract and works records are kept for as long as needed for the contract, warranties, limitation periods and legal requirements.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, ask for portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@socialhousingcontractors.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
