Which rules apply in the South West?

Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3 (£1.29bn for 2025–2028, plus up to £295m more for 2026/27) requires delivery under PAS 2035/2030, TrustMark-registered installers and, for heat pumps and solar, MCS certification. The fund is closed to new applications. Separately, social rented homes must reach EPC C on one reformed EPC metric by 1 April 2030.

What does it cost in the South West?

Our guide range for cavity wall insulation in the South West is £950–£2,750 per home. That is the UK range of £950–£2,700 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.02 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.

How do we deliver it?

No home is filled without a suitability survey. A cavity that should not have been filled becomes a damp complaint, and then a disrepair case.

Common questions

Which council areas in the South West do you cover for loft and cavity wall insulation?

All 27: Bath and North East Somerset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Bristol, Cheltenham, Cornwall, Cotswold, Dorset Council, East Devon, Exeter, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Isles of Scilly, Mid Devon, North Devon, North Somerset, Plymouth, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, South Hams, Stroud, Swindon, Teignbridge, Tewkesbury, Torbay, Torridge, West Devon, Wiltshire.

Can you remove failed cavity insulation?

Yes. Extraction is common where old fill has become wet and is bridging damp to the inner wall.

Is every cavity wall suitable for fill?

No. Exposure to driving rain, narrow or obstructed cavities and poor wall condition can make fill unsuitable. That is why we survey first.
