From a street of solid-wall terraces to a non-traditional estate, we install external wall insulation in the South East to programme.

We take on external wall insulation for social landlords across the South East: housing associations, councils, ALMOs and supported housing providers in all 64 council areas, to the rules that apply in England.

What is included?

  • Survey of walls, services and details before design
  • Moving services, downpipes, meters and fittings
  • Insulation boards, mesh, base coat and render or brick-slip finishes
  • Fire breaks and non-combustible materials where the design requires them
  • Handover with system guarantee documents

Which rules apply in the South East?

On blocks of flats the fire performance of the whole external wall is a design matter, and the rules on combustible materials tighten with building height. PAS 9980 is the code for fire risk appraisal of external walls of existing blocks. Government policy is for unsafe cladding on buildings of 18 metres and above to be remediated by the end of 2029, and 11–18 metres by the end of 2031.

What does it cost in the South East?

Our guide range for external wall insulation in the South East is £11,000–£20,350 per house. That is the UK range of £10,000–£18,500 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.10 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.05–1.15); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.

How do we deliver it?

Detailing is agreed before ordering, opening by opening. It is the difference between an EWI scheme that lasts thirty years and one that develops damp in three.
