The fund is closed to new applications. Separately, social rented homes must reach EPC C on one reformed EPC metric by 1 April 2030.

What does it cost in the East Midlands?

Our guide range for external wall insulation in the East Midlands is £10,200–£18,850 per house. That is the UK range of £10,000–£18,500 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.02 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.01–1.07); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.

How do we deliver it?

Residents are told when their wall will be worked on and what will be moved. Satellite dishes, meters and pipes are relocated and restored as part of the scope.

Common questions

Which council areas in the East Midlands do you cover for external wall insulation?

All 35: Amber Valley, Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Blaby, Bolsover, Boston, Broxtowe, Charnwood, Chesterfield, Derby, Derbyshire Dales, East Lindsey, Erewash, Gedling, Harborough, High Peak, Hinckley and Bosworth, Leicester, Lincoln, Mansfield, Melton, Newark and Sherwood, North East Derbyshire, North Kesteven, North Northamptonshire, North West Leicestershire, Nottingham, Oadby and Wigston, Rushcliffe, Rutland, South Derbyshire, South Holland, South Kesteven, West Lindsey, West Northamptonshire.

Can EWI be used on blocks of flats?

Often, yes. On blocks, the fire performance of the whole external wall is a design matter, and the rules on combustible materials depend on the building's height and use. We work to the design and do not substitute materials.

Do residents need to move out?

No. EWI is fixed outside, although services and fittings on the wall need to be moved temporarily.
