Whole-house retrofit in a social home

What is included?

  • Coordination with your retrofit assessor and retrofit coordinator
  • Windows and doors, draught-proofing and airtightness details
  • Ventilation upgrades to match the improved airtightness
  • Heating: heat pumps, controls and emitters where specified
  • Solar PV where it is part of the design

Which rules apply in Scotland?

PAS 2035:2023 sets the whole-house retrofit process (assessment, coordination, design, installation and evaluation), and PAS 2030:2023 covers installation. Most government-backed retrofit schemes require both, with TrustMark lodgement. We confirm in writing, before appointment, how each measure in your scope will meet those requirements.

What does it cost in Scotland?

Our guide range for whole-house retrofit towards EPC C in Scotland is £13,100–£22,900 per home. That is the UK range of £13,500–£23,600 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.97 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.

How do we deliver it?

Residents get a plain-English guide to their new heating and ventilation at handover. A heat pump that is run like a gas boiler will disappoint everyone.
