A project must be notified to HSE if it lasts more than 30 working days with more than 20 workers on site at once, or exceeds 500 person-days.
What does it cost in Yorkshire and the Humber?
Our guide range for external redecoration of a house in Yorkshire and the Humber is £750–£3,300 per house. That is the UK range of £800–£3,600 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.92 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 0.90–0.96); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Costs are itemised per block, which helps where works are recharged to leaseholders and consultation is needed.

All 15: Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Doncaster, East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, Kirklees, Leeds, North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Rotherham, Sheffield, Wakefield, York.
Can costs be recharged to leaseholders?
Your leases decide that. We provide itemised costs per block to support any consultation you need to carry out.
