Which rules apply in Scotland?
Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, the presence of asbestos must be assessed (or presumed) before work that could disturb it, and a refurbishment and demolition survey is needed before intrusive work in buildings built or refurbished before 2000. Licensed asbestos work is carried out only by licensed contractors.
What does it cost in Scotland?
Our guide range for a minor void in Scotland is £1,450–£3,400 per void. That is the UK range of £1,500–£3,500 (our estimate) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.97 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Every void has a written scope agreed before work starts. If we find something extra once the home is opened up, such as a rotten floor or a hidden leak, we photograph it and send you a priced variation for approval before doing it.

What about asbestos?
If the home was built before 2000, we check your asbestos register before disturbing anything and ask for a refurbishment survey where intrusive work is planned. Licensed removal is carried out by licensed contractors.
