Which rules apply in the East of England?
Gas work done for payment must be carried out by a member of the Gas Safe Register (Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998). Landlords must have each gas appliance and flue checked at least every 12 months and give the record to the tenant within 28 days. We confirm the registration of the engineer for your job in writing before appointment.
What does it cost in the East of England?
Our guide range for refurbishing an acquired or temporary accommodation home in the East of England is £8,300–£26,000 per home. That is the UK range of £8,000–£25,000 (our estimate) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.04 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
An acquired home is an unknown quantity until it is opened up, so our first survey is thorough and our scope lists what we could and could not see.
