Social homes in England must meet the Decent Homes Standard, enforced through the Regulator of Social Housing's Safety and Quality Standard. A reformed standard, confirmed in January 2026, must be met by 2035 at the latest.
What does it cost in the East Midlands?
Our guide range for refurbishing an acquired or temporary accommodation home in the East Midlands is £8,150–£25,500 per home. That is the UK range of £8,000–£25,000 (our estimate) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.02 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.01–1.07); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
We hand over with everything your housing officer needs on the first day: certificates, photos, meter readings and keys.
