Which rules apply in Wales?
Wales has its own Building Regulations, including its own Part P on electrical safety. Notifiable work is certified and notified under the Welsh rules.
What does it cost in Wales?
Our guide range for an EICR with Category 1 and 2 remedials in Wales is around £860 per home. That is the UK range of around £930 (derived from published totals) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.93 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 0.88–0.98); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Rewires are planned room by room, so residents are not left without power overnight, and we make good as we go.
Common questions
Which council areas in Wales do you cover for electrical remedial works and rewires?
All 22: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, Wrexham.
Can you rewire with the tenant in residence?
Yes. We confirm the duration for each home before starting and plan to restore power at the end of each day where possible.
How quickly must EICR remedials be done?
In England, social landlords must complete remedial or further investigation work within 28 days of the inspection, or sooner if the report says so, under the electrical safety regulations extended to the social rented sector in 2025–26. C1 items need immediate action everywhere. We work to the date you set and close each item with a certificate.
