Since 1 December 2025 (new tenancies) and 1 May 2026 (existing tenancies), social landlords in England must have electrical installations inspected at least every five years and complete remedial work within 28 days, or sooner if the report says so. Electrical equipment the landlord supplies must also be checked at least every five years.
What does it cost in the East of England?
Our guide range for an EICR with Category 1 and 2 remedials in the East of England is around £970 per home. That is the UK range of around £930 (derived from published totals) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.04 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
We close out each EICR item by reference, so your compliance system shows exactly which defects have been cleared and which are outstanding.
