Which rules apply in the East Midlands?
Under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, in residential buildings with storeys over 11 metres high, communal fire doors must be checked every three months and flat entrance doors every year on a best-endeavours basis. The Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed that flat entrance doors fall under the Fire Safety Order.
What does it cost in the East Midlands?
Our guide range for a major void in the East Midlands is £6,100–£15,300 per void. That is the UK range of £6,000–£15,000 (our estimate) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.02 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.01–1.07); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Operatives are briefed on the setting, including how to behave around residents with dementia or other support needs.
