Which rules apply in Scotland?
Since 1 February 2022 every home in Scotland has needed interlinked smoke alarms in the main living room and every hall or landing, a heat alarm in the kitchen, and a carbon monoxide alarm wherever there is a carbon-fuelled appliance or flue.
What does it cost in Scotland?
Our guide range for mains-wired interlinked smoke, heat and CO alarms in Scotland is £435–£875 per home. That is the UK range of £450–£900 (our estimate) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.97 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Every home gets an alarm schedule (type, position, expiry date and test result) which feeds straight into your compliance records.
