Which rules apply in the South East?
Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, the presence of asbestos must be assessed (or presumed) before work that could disturb it, and a refurbishment and demolition survey is needed before intrusive work in buildings built or refurbished before 2000. Licensed asbestos work is carried out only by licensed contractors.
What does it cost in the South East?
Our guide range for a bathroom in a replacement programme in the South East is £6,050–£8,800 per bathroom. That is the UK range of £5,500–£8,000 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.10 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.05–1.15); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
We fit humidity-controlled extract ventilation as part of the renewal, because a new bathroom without effective extract is a future damp and mould call.
