Which rules apply in Yorkshire and the Humber?
Replacement windows, heating systems and some electrical work are controlled under the Building Regulations. In higher-risk buildings (18 metres or 7 storeys and above, with two or more homes), building work needs Building Safety Regulator approval before it starts unless it is exempt. Most repairs and like-for-like replacements are exempt, but heating systems, fuse boxes and glazing units are not.
What does it cost in Yorkshire and the Humber?
Our guide range for an air source heat pump in Yorkshire and the Humber is £9,200–£12,900 per home. That is the UK range of £10,000–£14,000 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 0.92 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 0.90–0.96); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
Every heating job starts with confirming in writing who will do the work and what registration or certification they hold, and that paperwork goes into your handover pack.
Common questions
Which council areas in Yorkshire and the Humber do you cover for heating upgrades and heat pumps?
All 15: Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Doncaster, East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, Kirklees, Leeds, North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Rotherham, Sheffield, Wakefield, York.
Do you service heating systems?
Our focus is installation and upgrades. Annual gas safety checks are usually let as a separate compliance contract.
Do heat pumps work in older social homes?
They can, provided the home's heat loss is reduced first and the emitters are sized properly. That is why heat pumps usually sit within a whole-house retrofit plan.
