Which rules apply in the South East?

Gas work done for payment must be carried out by a member of the Gas Safe Register (Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998). Landlords must have each gas appliance and flue checked at least every 12 months and give the record to the tenant within 28 days. We confirm the registration of the engineer for your job in writing before appointment.

What does it cost in the South East?

Our guide range for an air source heat pump in the South East is £11,000–£15,400 per home. That is the UK range of £10,000–£14,000 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.10 (VOA Rating Cost Guide 2026: 1.05–1.15); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.

How do we deliver it?

For heat pumps we insist on a heat loss calculation and emitter sizing. Undersized radiators are the most common reason residents say a heat pump does not work.
