Which rules apply in the South West?
Replacement windows, heating systems and some electrical work are controlled under the Building Regulations. In higher-risk buildings (18 metres or 7 storeys and above, with two or more homes), building work needs Building Safety Regulator approval before it starts unless it is exempt. Most repairs and like-for-like replacements are exempt, but heating systems, fuse boxes and glazing units are not.
What does it cost in the South West?
Our guide range for uPVC window replacement in the South West is £4,600–£12,250 per home. That is the UK range of £4,500–£12,000 (published figure) adjusted by a regional cost factor of 1.02 (our own estimate); figures are before VAT where the source states it. Every job is priced after survey; specification, access and the condition of the homes will move the figure.
How do we deliver it?
We hand over with the compliance paperwork that building control or your auditors will expect, home by home.
